I'm a typical Libra, but back then I felt much more like a Pisces. My moods were like water, flowing every which way, and some days my tears were too. I wasn't feeling inspired by much. All I wanted was to make something, so I leaned into the craft to find some calm, and I could only draw on my melancholy. I named it the Bay for its trapeze silhouette, the same shape as a bay. Even then, I made one of the two magnets on the flap bigger than the other, on purpose, to give it a little more personality. A little hint of joy.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eFig is named for the fig tree in our backyard growing up, and the fresh figs that were a treat whenever it fruited. The colour itself is closer to a marinated Sicilian olive. A deeper, dirtier green than matcha.
