bay bag / matcha
The Bay Bag is from Pisces, a collection I made during a really low time. I'm a typical Libra, but back then I felt much more like a Pisces. My moods were like water, flowing every which way, and some days my tears were too. I wasn't feeling inspired by much. All I wanted was to make something, so I leaned into the craft to find some calm, and I could only draw on my melancholy. I named it the Bay for its trapeze silhouette, the same shape as a bay. Even then, I made one of the two magnets on the flap bigger than the other, on purpose, to give it a little more personality. A little hint of joy.
I mixed Matcha myself, searching for a green that would be just as uplifting as Wheat. I'm a lover of green, and I wear it as if it were a neutral. Matcha isn't actually my drink of choice, but there's something comforting about the slow process of making one, and the colour of it in a warm, milky cup.
