We believe maintaining the artisanal techniques of traditional leathercraft is a way of paying homage to the rich history and legacy of craftswomanship. The slow and conscious process of handcrafting has honed an appreciation for the materials our collections use and the planet from which they came. This is at the core of the sustainable updates simétrie has made to conventional crafting practices. We also know that when we make by hand, we take more pride in the end result. This unique combination of artisanship, tradition and innovation means both hands and hearts are involved at every stage of every piece. 

Our makers are contractors based in Melbourne and work with us in our local Brunswick atelier.

Simone is primarily crafting your orders made to order. When small batch productions are planned, our contractors work with Simone as a team. Each product passes through multiple hands to complete it before it gets to yours and when it does, you receive their story as well as your bag.
