The Nurture Tote in Black Rock brings padded comfort to everyday moments. Its quilted oval shape recreates the feeling of sinking into a soft lounge ~ that same welcoming presence, now portable. Working with supple Australian bovine leather across five prototypes revealed how to achieve this cushioned form. The padding uses recycled felt, giving new purpose to materials that would otherwise go unused. Small Australian blackwood feet, turned by a local craftsperson from workshop offcuts, protect the bag and help it stand with confidence. Handmade in the Melbourne atelier.
