Figura is open to my newsletter readers first, until it opens to everyone on Friday 16 October. Four new silhouettes, shaped by a statue in Malta's Tarxien temple, and three new colours ~ Fig, Almond and Peppercorn.
six places before christmas
I can make six Figura Totes or Petit Figura Totes to order before Christmas, and each of those six places comes with a Figura solid perfume. Marta Novovic of BOP LAB created the Figura scent for launch night at Soft Focus House ~ fig, bay leaf and basil, then rock rose and orange blossom, settling into a long, creamy sandalwood. These six 5ml tins of solid scent, in a beeswax base, are all that's left from the night. There's nothing to add to your cart ~ I'll pack it in with your tote.
Order by Sunday 22 November, or until the six places are taken. After that, made to order totes will ship in the second week of January.
A few pieces are ready to ship now. If there's no made to order note beside the price, it can go out this week.
new colours on familiar shapes
Figura is the Italian word for figure, and this collection is shaped by one in particular ~ a statue carved thousands of years ago and placed inside the Tarxien temple in Malta. Only her lower half remains. At full size, she would have stood almost three metres tall, and her hips are very wide ~ they reminded me of my own.
